All Toward The Sun

Another trip into the Welcombe Hills, and once again an hour's rambling sees me actually RUNNING back home with a cameraful of new perspective! A fallen tree and a patch of wind-flattened brush becomes, with a little imagination, a holocaustic scene of sun-blasted vegetation and skeletal fingers, with my tree reminding me of cave-paintings, the desperate reach of a doomed tribe, as their source of life becomes the instrument of their fate. Technically this is a first attempt at lighting techniques in Photoshop, having been hugely inspired by the incredible weight and drama found in the work of *TOYIB. Its definitely an exercise in moderation, but can really add or enhance focus in a shot.
